The Institute of Philosophy "Edith Stein" is provided with a valuable library. On the one hand, it includes the excellent historical collection from the former "San Cecilio" Seminary Library, to which is added the important stock of the Archiepiscopal Library, also found within the facilities of the Institute.

In addition to these two bibliographical resources, a new library of the Institute of Philosophy was established; specialized in the diverse philosophical disciplines and authors. There is a special interest in making this library a reference for scholarship on Edith Stein's work. To achieve this, there is a continued effort of acquisition of contemporary works, at the same time collections of complete works of diverse authors in the best editions are continuously added, including antique editions.

Besides its large storage facilities, the library is provided with an ample reading room, a section for periodicals and a computer lab area. The library is open uninterruptedly and complies with the proper safety standards.

The Library of the Institute of Philosophy "Edith Stein" includes at present more than 70.000 volumes at the disposal of students, teachers and researchers. In the future, the Institute will be connected through the web to the other historical libraries of the Archdiocese of Granada, especially to that of the Sacromonte Abbey.
