The small to medium sized businesses out there are not alone in this spectacle. Indeed, as it has happened in history, mean-spirited industrialists, those of the large, multinational scale, have seen it fit to circumvent as many testing regulations as possible in order to make as much money as possible.
And how many of these large scale companies have profited. If they were not admired, they were the envy of all those other small scale operators who were tempted to test their fate and the ultimate survival of their business. Because, let it be known that while, previously, many businesses quite literally got away with murder, many others lost it all in the blink of an eye.
If they did not fall foul of the law, and in most cases they did, they were taken to court by their victims. It turns out, and this is a matter of public record, that civil lawsuits can be far costlier than heavy fines issued by the designated or relevant government inspectorates. By now there will be online records as to how many companies out there have had to shut their doors after refusing to carry out or comply with mandated package testing requirements.
Worse still, there have been incidences where lives have been lost. And this is a very serious matter indeed. The law states quite clearly that it is imperative that all stakeholders comply should it be that they are handling or packaging hazardous materials. Any small business developer can avail himself of an extensive list of those materials that qualify. In any case, should he struggle, authoritative help is at hand to assist.
One legally mandated requirement is to attend regular training workshops. And in most cases, these need only be once a year, generally speaking.
